Course Summary: Conduct Home-Based Care (KSTVET Aligned)

The Conduct Home-Based Care course is a competency-based training program designed to equip learners with the practical skills, knowledge, and attitudes required to provide quality care to individuals within a home setting. The course focuses on supporting people living with chronic illnesses, disabilities, age-related conditions, and those requiring palliative care, while promoting dignity, independence, and overall well-being.

Aligned with KSTVET CBET standards, the course emphasizes hands-on learning and real-life application. Learners are trained to deliver essential services such as personal care, basic nursing support, infection prevention and control, nutrition assistance, and psychosocial support. In addition, the course prepares learners to recognize emergency situations, provide first aid, and link clients to appropriate healthcare and community support services.

Throughout the training, strong emphasis is placed on ethical practice, communication, confidentiality, and respect for client rights. Learners are also equipped with record-keeping and reporting skills to ensure proper documentation and continuity of care.
